Camp Pendola offers a variety of programs to meet your needs.
Overnight Camp takes place at our site near Camptonville. Camp Pendola is nestled in the Tahoe National Forest two hours northeast of Sacramento. The facility consists of 40 acres of pine, oak and Pacific Madrone trees with 24 buildings to serve the campers who visit. Our Lady of the Sierra Chapel sits prominently in the middle of the camp. Campers enjoy swimming and padleboating in the pond, archery, hiking throughout camp and the surrounding area, sleeping out under the stars and opening and closing campfires. We offer mini and full week traditional camp sessions for campers entering grades 1-12 in addition to special programs for middle school and high school youth.
Day Camp takes place at the new Trinity Pines Catholic Center near Colfax. We are launching a two week program for children entering grades 1 through 6. The facility consists of 240 just east of Rollins Lake. It is currently under development as the facility begins the transition to overnight camp facility for the children and youth of the Diocese of Sacramento. The day camp program will have the opportunity to use the pond, huge open field for a variety of sports and games, a newly renovated arts and crafts center and a swimming pool for swim lessons.
We also have some great Family Events.
Our very popular Family Camp takes place Labor Day weekend each year and takes place at the site near Camptonville. Families arrive on Saturday morning and spend three days taking part in specially planned activities. Families with children of all ages are invited to take part in this annual program.
Mom & Me and Dad & Me Overnights are a one night camp experience at the Trinity Pines Site near Colfax, CA. This is a great event for some one on one time for a parent, or other significant adult, and child to enjoy the outdoors. Housing will be dorms style with multiple Mom & children sharing a space. Restrooms are near by. Come and swim, fish, hike, do some arts and crafts and enjoy an evening campfire. Leave after breakfast on Sunday morning.
