Welcome to the second year of Camp Pendola Day Camp!
Camp Pendola has a very established overnight camp program located at the original site near Camptonville, CA. Using our 57 years of experience in providing summer camp programs, we are expanding to provide a day only program at the future site of all of Camp Pendola’s programs at Trinity Pines Catholic Center located near Colfax, CA.
Thank you for choosing Camp Pendola Day Camp Program.
Director, Camp Pendola
Optional Bus transportation will be available from the following locations:
St. Joseph’s School at St. Teresa’s in Auburn. The bus will leave this site about 8:30 and return about 4:00 each day.
St. Rose School in Roseville. At this time no arrangements have been made for this drop site but if we have an interest this will be added site.
Prior to departure the bus driver will inform campers of all the rules. In general the following rules will be followed.
1. All campers should remain seated at all times while being transported, with hands and arms inside the vehicle.
2. Campers are to keep the noise level down, so they do not distract the driver. There should be no throwing of objects or other disruptive behavior that could distract the driver.
3. Campers should enter and leave the vehicle under the direction of a day camp staff member.
4. Campers are to take all trash from the vehicle and throw it away in the proper garbage can.
At a minimum, Camp Pendola staff are at least 18 years old and have graduated from high school, and most have completed one or more years of college. Following the Diocese of Sacramento policies, all staff undergo biometric scanning through both the DOJ and FBI.
All staff complete a pre-camp training on site at Trinity Pines Catholic Center. In addition all staff are certified in First Aid and CPR/AED. Some staff are certified lifeguards. On site training includes child development, behavior management, homesickness, and general safety in and around all of the various camp activities. We have certified archery instructors in charge of our archery.
