Become a Naturalist

For Creature Camp, we need knowledgeable instructors to teach in an interesting and insightful way and communicate effectively to young students, primarily at the sixth grade level. The types of activities we teach during the fall months include teamwork initiatives, building shelters, how to survive in the wilderness, including how to build a fire and navigate using a compass, among other valuable skills. Below is a job description for the Creature Camp Naturalist position. Location: Pendola Center Position: Creature Camp Naturalist Classification: Non-Exempt Schedule: Fall or Spring positions available Reports to: Pendola Center Director Job Summary: Provide an outdoor experience for all campers that increases appreciation and understanding of our role in the environment, improves our ability to be good stewards, and encourages us understand our moral obligation to protect all God’s creatures.
